Congratulations to Fisk alumna Linda Kenney Miller for her recent nomination as 2009 Georgia Author of the Year for her latest novel, “Beacon on the Hill.” The novel captured the USA Book News’ 2008 Best Book Award in the category of historical fiction as well as the 2009 National Indie Excellence Award in the category of African American fiction.
