I missed the broadcast on Michael Jackson, but in answer to the question about the media spending too much time on MJ’s “problems” … yes, they did and still do. And, what that means is that a treasure trove of accomplishment is still yet to be conveyed to the public about Michael Jackson. Will he ever be vindicated from the never proven, and what he asserted as false accusations against him? Perhaps now there may be a chance, but if not, we nevertheless should hear and tell the true story of Michael Jackson as part of Black History. We should “set the record straight,” as he continuously tried to do while alive. And we should do it with affection and respect for all he gave and bring his flaws forth with empathy and understanding.

The University has made an excellent choice in Dr. Brown. Clearly, his vitae of experiences, research, writings, and leadership make him the best person to lead the academic efforts of Fisk at this most critical time in her history. Brown will add to the rich legacy of prominent proponents of the highest ideals in education and will not compromise the values which have been the institution’s standard since its founding.

I was a student at Fisk from 1946-1950, where I spent some of the best years of my life. I went on to obtain the master’s degree in Zoology from Indiana University, and the Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Iowa. Fisk prepared me well to meet the rigorous challenges of graduate school. More importantly, Fisk prepared me for life. The Fisk experience allowed me to appreciate the arts as well as the sciences, and as such, I was well prepared to step into the position as Dean of the College oif Arts and Sciences at Prairie View A&M University, where I served for 20 years. The strong liberal arts background enabled me to develop the coping skills required of well educated individuals. Fisk is the Best!! If I had to o it all over, my choice of colleges as an undergraduate would be Fisk. FISK FOREVER!!!

My husband and I enjoyed watching your documentary. It was great to see the dialogue of wisdom on past and present issues. The laughter and the tears were a heart-warming perspective. Through all the debates and discussions, yes there is a humorous and sensitive core that is often struck by the innate course of life. Your journey with these great men sets an example of male bonding,revealing history, and pride. The list could go on, I’d like to thank you for making a wonderful documentary and all of the other great informative work that you do.
