Members of Fisk University ‘s faculty and staff gathered to recognize and congratulate Dr. Kathryn Karipides, associate provost and Samuel B. and Virginia C. Knight Professor Emerita of Humanities at Case Western Reserve University for her contributions to the Case-Fisk Partnership.
The Case-Fisk Partnership offers students, faculty, and staff at both universities opportunities in education and research. Students from either university can enroll in dual-degree or student exchange programs in addition to participation in joint research with a national or international scope.
Karipides will be retiring from her post as associate provost of Case Western Reserve University on July 1. Karipides had retired from her teaching and administrative career in the Department of Theater and Dance at Case Western Reserve University in 1998 but did return as interim associate provost in 2003. She was appointed associate provost in 2006.
In her career as an administrator at Case Western Reserve University, Karipides has provided leadership for the University Libraries, the University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education and the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women.
