Fisk University’s Caribbean Student Association will host its annual Caribfest for students, faculty and staff on Friday, November 14 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Henderson Johnson Gymnasium. In accordance with the theme, “Celebrating Our Heritage, Promoting Our Culture”, this year’s celebration will feature free Caribbean Cuisine and door prizes along with a fashion show, music and dance competition featuring students from the organization.
The event is free and is co-sponsored by the Fisk Student Government Association and the International Education Enrichment and Exchange Center (IEEEC.) Currently, the Caribbean Student Association has over 60 members that represent Jamaica, The Bahamas, The U.S. Virgin Islands, Dominica, Trinidad, Haiti, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the United States.
